Form 141 |
The Income Tax Department has introduced Form 141 under the Income-tax Act, 2025, to simplify TDS payment and reporting for specified transactions. This new form replaces earlier Forms 26QB, 26QC, 26QD and 26QE.
Taxpayers must deposit the deducted TDS and submit the challan-cum-statement within the prescribed deadline to avoid interest and other penalties
What Is Form 141?
Form 141 is a unified TDS challan-cum-statement used for specified transactions, including property purchases, rent payments, certain payments to contractors or professionals, and virtual digital asset transactions.
From 1 October 2026, Schedule E also covers specified property purchases involving non-resident sellers.
