The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a legal body that grants food permits to all food business operators (FBOs) in India.

Section 31(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006 requires every food business operator in the country to be licensed by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Validity of FSSAI License/Registration
