Esic Registration

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is a statutory entity under India's Ministry of Labour and Employment that offers social security and health insurance to Indian workers. The system intends to give financial protection to employees and their dependents in the event of illness, disability, maternity, workplace injury, or death as a result of occupational hazards.

Key Features of ESIC

  1. Medical Benefits: ESIC provides comprehensive medical care to the insured employees and their families through a network of hospitals and dispensaries.

  2. Sickness Benefit: Employees can receive financial assistance during sickness if they are unable to work for a certain period. Typically, they receive up to 70% of their average daily wage for a maximum of 91 days per year.

  3. Maternity Benefit: Female employees can claim benefits during pregnancy, pre-natal, and post-natal stages, generally up to 26 weeks or more under special circumstances.

  4. Disablement Benefit: Employees receive financial compensation in case of temporary or permanent disablement due to workplace injuries or occupational diseases.

  5. Dependents' Benefit: If an employee dies due to a workplace injury, their dependents receive monthly payments to help compensate for the loss of income.

  6. Unemployment Allowance: In cases of involuntary job loss or permanent disability, employees are eligible for an unemployment allowance for up to 24 months.
